Our 3-star campsite, nestled in the heart of the Périgord Noir, is the only holiday establishment in the Dordogne to offer you: the privileged and unlimited access (special rates) to an amusement park : Bournat park, ranked as one of the Top 10 activities not to be missed in the Dordogne.
Almost 8 hectares of authentic pleasures for the whole family are to be discovered at your own pace in this unusual park : in 1 day, 2 hours, 30 minutes, by coming 10 times or more, you enter and leave at your own will to enjoy the attractions and multiple activities. And this, with private access, a special rate and without queues.
By staying in our holiday resort, you and your children will be able to discover without moderation the only leisure park in France bringing back to life the 1900s. A real leap back in time, in a typical Perigordian village of yesteryear where you will find many period rides such as the roller coaster or swing chairs, and a fairground with the tin can game or the deforming mirrors. A ride on the Ferris Wheel, straight from 1900, will give you beautiful sensations and a beautiful view of the surroundings of Le Bugue and the Vézère Valley.
The many animals, at the Mini Farm and throughout the theme park, will appeal to children and parents alike. You can even pose in sepia in our Belle Epoque photo studio! What better holiday memory than a photograph dressed in period costume with the people you love? A boat ride in the marshes is the promise of a good laugh and a good sweat!
You will meet and exchange with many craftsmen. These passionate people with fairy hands bear witness to old trades, somet of which are in the process of disappearing. You will also discover an exceptional collection of period objects, tools, toys and machines, as well as the places that make up the beauty of any village: wash-house, mill, school, church, vegetable garden, baker, craftsmen’s workshops, garage… Here everything breathes the old-fashioned charm of village life in the past, a life that was laborious but simple and joyful.
You can learn to write with a quill at school, to weave wheat, to model the earth or to make toys in a workshop.
The Parc du Bournat also has three restaurants where you can savour the famous Périgordian specialities : foie gras, duck confit, duck breast, walnut tart, Périgord strawberries and other potatoes from the Sarlat region…
You can picnic in one of the many shaded areas provided for this purpose.
You will also be able to buy the products produced in the park such as flour, nut oil, jam, bread, vegetables and herbs from the garden, soaps, beers … and more at the shop.
Not forgetting the night openings, in July and August each year. On the occasion of this event, popular with locals and holidaymakers alike, the park opens its doors until 11:00 PM and takes on a festive air to enjoy the evening: bands, fireworks… Meat roasted over a wood fire is a real treat for the guests.
